This is absolutely brilliant! The British Indie rock band The Get Out Clause had a production budget of 3 quid and change (rough approximation) for their very first music video and came up with a rather ingenious solution: They played their song “Paper” in front of 80 of the over 13 million CCTV surveillance cameras all over the UK and then petitioned the government agencies and companies who owned the cameras for the release of the video footage under the Freedom of Information Act. And even though the music isn’t quite my cup of tea, the video has turned out to be very good indeed.
