Alles Käse

I’m glad to see we are now starting to bail out industries which are much closer to my heart than banking and automobiles (via Greg Mankiw):

The world is bailing out banks and car companies. Italy is coming to the rescue of parmigiano cheese.

In an effort to help producers of the cheese commonly grated over spaghetti, fettuccine and other pastas, the Italian government is buying 100,000 wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano and donating them to charity.

Though demand for parmigiano is strong in Italy and abroad, producers have been struggling for years to make money, putting the future of Italy's favorite cheese at risk.

May I suggest we next give the Döner vendors of Berlin some relief? Surely no one can expect to make a living selling delicious Turkish food for so little money in the long run.

  1. I suggest payments to buggy whip manufactures. visit- http://www.geezergator.wordpress.com

  2. Is this plan limited to a single product per country? For the Netherlands I am having a difficulty between: clogs and drugs….. or maybe Heineken (because it is as well so much appreciated by my German friends).
